Project Coordinator
Nicholas Simons leads the Regional Gun Violence Research Consortium, which aims to reduce violence involving firearms through research and analysis. He also specializes in education policy research and data visualization, writing pieces on K-12 and higher education topics for the Institute and building interactive graphics for Institute reports. He previously served as policy analyst for SUNY Central Administration’s Office of Government Relations, and as special assistant to the president at the University at Albany. Simons received his bachelor’s in political science and master’s in public administration from the University at Albany.
