Resources for Faculty & Students

As the public policy research arm for the State University of New York, one of the Rockefeller Institute’s objectives is to support faculty and students across the system in meeting their educational and research goals. We offer a range of professional development opportunities for students; our blogs, podcasts, data tools, and reports can be integrated into curriculum; and we offer forums for researchers to connect with collaborators and promote their work to a broad policy audience.

Faculty Research Opportunities

The Rockefeller Institute is excited to collaborate with faculty experts doing research with policy implications. Our goal is to help researchers connect with policymakers to enable the creation of evidence-based policy. The Institute will work with SUNY experts to develop publications for the policy community and general public. The Institute has worked with faculty to produce blogs, reports, webinars, data visualizations, and podcasts, and we are looking to expand those relationships.

Conferences and Consortiums

The Rockefeller Institute hosts meetings that bring researchers and policymakers together. Researchers present recent findings from their work that can inform policy discussions. Policymakers outline their priorities and the questions they need answered that can help researchers identify topics for study. Areas of particular interest include drug policy, gun violence, climate change and sustainability, and immigration.
