Albany, NY — The Rockefeller Institute of Government today launched a new website to better connect its valuable research, analysis, and data with policymakers and the public.
The modern, mobile-friendly site prioritizes accessibility, simplicity, and digital-first design to engage readers with the Institute’s work through a mix of blogs, multimedia content, social media, policy briefs, and reports.
“This is an important step in making our work more accessible to policymakers and the public,” said Rockefeller Institute President Jim Malatras. “As we take on pressing issues from the opioid epidemic to gun violence, we’ll be able to communicate our findings more clearly, more engagingly, and more effectively. I’d like to thank our communications team, headed by Communications Director Kyle Adams, for bringing this project to life.”
“The new site is a crucial part of our broader effort to communicate the Institute’s work in new, digital-first ways,” said Kyle Adams, director of communications at the Rockefeller Institute. “It allows us to deliver our cutting-edge public policy research through a mix of video and audio content, interactive graphics, and more user-friendly reports. This is a foundational tool for bringing reliable research into public policy discussions.”
The new website comes amid a transformative time for the Institute. Recently, the Institute joined with the Government Law Center at Albany Law School, the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy at the University at Albany, and the University at Buffalo School of Law to launch the Center for Law & Policy Solutions to study problems at the intersection of law, policy, and communities. The Institute also recently formed the Center for Education Pipeline Systems Change under the leadership of Chancellor Emeritus of the State University of New York Nancy Zimpher, began a multistate study of teacher supply and demand, and launched a comprehensive study of New York’s opioid epidemic, among many other initiatives.
