Rockefeller Institute Fellow Jeff Wice joined Susan Arbetter on Capitol Pressroom this week to explain the potential consequences of adding a citizenship question to the 2020 census as announced last week by U.S. Department of Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross.

Wice, a national expert on census and redistricting, explains how the question could lead to an undercount as immigrants avoid the census — and that could lead to substantial losses in federal funding and representation for New York.
