Hannah Klein is an assistant professor in Lewis University’s Justice, Law, and Public Safety Studies Department and serves as the director of the Center for Community Research & Education. Dr. Klein uses mixed methods to focus on prevention and intervention research that centers on cultural responsiveness and trauma experiences to inform the findings. Dr. Klein is seeking to understand the role of societal institutions as providers of firearm safe storage education to reduce the number of unnecessary injuries and deaths of children. This work is inspired by her work in child welfare and violence prevention in the City of Philadelphia which led her to pursue her Ph.D. from Temple University. She also has her M.P.A. from Villanova University.
