Mikayla Schneiter

Center for Law & Policy Solutions Research Intern

Mikayla Schneiter is an undergraduate student at SUNY Empire State College, where she is pursuing a degree in public affairs with a concentration in advocacy. Schneiter is a graduate of SUNY Erie Community College, where she earned a degree in paralegal studies. She works as a paralegal in the litigation department of a downtown Buffalo law firm which serves and advocates for people who are injured and disabled. As part of her Center for Law and Policy Solutions internship, she is studying the psychological sense of school belonging among immigrant and refugee adolescents with Dr. Dan Nyaronga. The subject of this microstudy serves Schneiter’s lifelong interest in social equality and sense of belonging within a community.
