Christopher Morrison is an associate professor of epidemiology (chronic diseases) at the Yale School of Public Health, where he serves as scientific director for firearm injury prevention. His research is funded by the National Institutes of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and seeks to understand how social and physical environmental conditions affect population health, particularly injuries, alcohol use, and alcohol-related harms.

His ongoing work examines the impacts of built environment conditions on perceived safety and intentional and unintentional injuries, including community violence and road traffic crashes. This research uses spatial epidemiologic methods, including field observations, geographically referenced surveys, and data from archival sources to understand whether and how changes to environments improve health.

Morrison completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Penn Injury Science Center at the University of Pennsylvania, and holds a Ph.D. in epidemiology from Monash University, Australia.
