Wendy C. Regoeczi, Ph.D. MPH, is a professor of criminology and criminal justice at the University of South Carolina. Her research focuses on violent crime, particularly homicide, intimate partner violence, murder suicide, community violence, and violent crime investigations. Her work appears in such journals as the Journal of the American Medical Association, Justice Quarterly, Child Abuse & Neglect, Journal of Forensic Sciences, Homicide Studies, and the Journal of Family Violence. Her research has been funded by the National Institute of Justice and the National Science Foundation and includes evaluations of violence interventions. She is the former editor of the journal Homicide Studies and coauthor of Rethinking Homicide: Exploring the Structure and Process Underlying Deadly Situations, published by Cambridge University Press.
