Chris St. Vil is currently an assistant professor at the University at Buffalo (SUNY) in the School of Social Work. His background is in social work with specific training in both quantitative and qualitative methods. He received his BS from SUNY Buffalo State College, his MSW from Stony Brook University, and his PhD from Howard University. His work lies at the intersection of masculinity and victims of violent injury with an emphasis on evaluating the impact of community-based violence intervention programs and hospital-based violence intervention programs.
