She currently serves as the president of the Associated Students of Portland State University organization, where she advocates for the safety and security of all students. Brady’s research interests include gun violence prevention advocacy, victims and survivors, and the economic impact of firearm violence. She prioritizes uplifting the voices of gun violence survivors, with a specific focus given to younger survivors.
Brady’s experience as a youth advocate transitioning into a gun violence researcher gives her a well-rounded outlook on how to address the prevalent issue of youth falling victim to gun violence. She currently serves on the Board of Ceasefire Oregon Education Foundation, a 501(c)3, which works at the grassroots level to address gun violence in Oregon. Prior to this position, Brady participated in the Jefferson County, CO, chapter of Students Demand Action (2018–19), served as a board member for March for Our Lives Colorado (2019–21), was the lead organizer for the 2022 Denver March for Our Lives rally, and created the Denver chapter of Team ENOUGH.
