Viet Dinh

New York State Science Policy Fellow

Viet Dinh (he/him) is an integrative physiologist who received a PhD in biomedical sciences from the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth (UNT Health Fort Worth). As a graduate student, he worked on developing a novel therapeutic intervention to improve survival from severe blood loss, with his dissertation focusing on brain blood flow and oxygenation in both human and animal models of hemorrhage. He joined the New York State Science Policy Fellowship to help bridge science and policy and is passionate about translating scientific advancements into actionable, systemic change that improves the lives of people.
