Student Assistant - Information Design

The Rockefeller Institute of Government is seeking a student assistant for a part-time position for 20 hours per week to provide temporary information design support to the Rockefeller Institute of Government Communications Department. Duties include but are not limited to: 

Assist the communications department in creating a digital version of the Rockefeller Institute’s New York State Statistical Yearbook. 

Recommend and help develop data visualizations from the Statistical Yearbook and other projects as needed. 

The student for information systems will report directly to the director of communications. 

 

Job Requirements

Ability to work with a team and independently 

Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills 

Experience with Tableau software 

Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Office products 

Experience with information design and interactive data visualization 

Graphic design experience preferred
