The Rockefeller Institute of Government is seeking a graduate student for a part-time position for 20 hours per week to provide research and office support to the Institute’s president. The primary responsibility for this individual will entail research on current public policy topics. The research assistant will participate in data collection and analysis. Administrative duties such as scheduling meetings, answering phones, filing, and other duties will also be assigned.
As a result of this work, this individual will have the opportunity to develop their own blog posts related to the Institute’s mission for its website.
This position requires the successful candidate to be well organized, dependable, a critical thinker, and demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail. The individual must be able to work independently as well as part of a team. The applicant must have excellent research skills, strong writing skills, and be able to plan and organize meetings. Knowledge of MS office suite is required.
Full-time University at Albany graduate students with a background in political science, history, or public policy are strongly encouraged to apply.
$15 – $17 per hour depending on experience
