Service Delivery Under the Workforce Investment Act of 1998

The Rockefeller Institute of Government and a network of field researchers studied the experience of eight states, 16 local areas, and over 30 One-Stop Career Centers in 2002 and 2003 in implementing the Workforce Investment Act (WIA). The eight states studied were Florida, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Oregon, Texas, and Utah.

Each of the two volumes of State Case Studies from a Field Network Evaluation describes the research methodology and includes summaries of the findings in the study states. The chapters are the state case studies, and these provide detailed information on the policies, governance, structure, and services of the study states:  Florida, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Oregon, Texas, amd Utah. You can view these volumes here.
