The mission of the Center for Policy Research (CPR) is to advance the Rockefeller College goal of establishing and maintaining excellence in the field of public policy by emphasizing research on both methodological and substantive issues.
Within its broad mission, the Center has two major objectives. The first is to support and conduct research in decision and policy sciences that will contribute to the improvement of policy processes and decision making at all levels of society. This is our most important goal and the work for which the center has earned an international reputation.
The Project on Violent Conflict (PVC) is an academic research center based at the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs & Policy located at the University of Albany, State University of New York (SUNY).
PVC’s mission is to advance the study of all forms of political violence, including the study of terrorism, insurgency, rebellion, as well as intrastate and interstate war. This mission is accomplished through multidisciplinary research and collaboration with other centers, universities, small businesses, and government entities.
The National Center for Security & Preparedness (NCSP) was established in July 2007. It is affiliated with the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy at the University at Albany, State University of New York. Its offices are located in Albany, NY, but its operations extend across the State of New York and the nation.
