Centers & Programs

As part of the State University of New York, education is at the heart of the Rockefeller Institute’s mission.

Not only does the Institute study education systems and policy — from teacher shortages to international models of higher education funding — but we also run several educational programs designed to build capacity in local and state government and educate the next generation of policymakers in the use of evidence-based analysis.

Our latest addition, the Center for Education Pipeline Systems Change, seeks to understand and improve education as a complex system of interconnected parts. Headed by SUNY Chancellor Emeritus Nancy Zimpher, the center takes a “cradle-to-career” approach to education policy with a statewide education data center at its core.
